Well, I have seen loads of avatars recently, 'cos you're all changing them. So, to brighten mine / and others profiles, post some avatars we can steal.

if a file is too big, you can host it on your own and then put it in "link to off site avatar"
but still keep to the rules, or reasonably close. on silverfish its close to outta control on some peoples stuff that takes up tons of the screen, and then you have to scroll over to read the posts.....

True - upload them like a normal forum pic. Just try to keep them as small as possible - loads of big avatars on every post means slow page load times - bad for all (except the guys with mental internet connections)
Animated gifs work ok as slick surfa has shown.
