anybody kayak?

Postby tomcat360 » Mon May 01, 2006 8:41 pm

Hey yall,

I've been flatwater kayaking for a while, and now I kinda want to get into whitewater.

Just kinda wonder, what kind of boat should I look into, and have ya'll taken classes or just gone out and winged it?

Thanks in advance

A bloke I used to work with took up kayaking a couple of years ago, he did a course with the local yachting association before he started going out

..often thought about having a crack at it myself , looks fun ... i saw this maniac slide into a wave sideways on and barrel roll just as it broke ..it was surreal he just kept rolling and rolling and rolling ...came up smiling so i guess he meant to do it !?!

I think the one thing that you don't say if you don't want someone to ask you something is "don't ask", just makes the person want to ask more.

So I guess you could say I'm asking  If it's another flipped upside down hit a rock story or something, you don't have to share it you're uncomfortable with it.

... Yep same as ... nothing ignites the "need to know" more than being told "you dont need to know"
