Has anyone out there seen this film?

Is it worth my while trying to buy/ illegally download this film? I have checked out the trailer on apple.com but it never got released in the UK.

Anyone out there seen it or can anyone recommend any other surf films.

Big Wednesday obviously goes without saying!!

Cheers

Haven't seen that one. The Endless Summer and The Endless Summer 2 are a must! :P

i have to also say I'm a fan of Blue Crush but you'll probably find some people disagreeing with me. Got some great scenes in it though. And some hot chick surfers (if you're a guy of course), doesn't really appeal to me but may draw you to buy the film. :P

Endless Summer

I am a real big fan of Endless Summer - it's a surf film which totally captures what surfing is all about. If you are into power moves, airs etc then this is not the film for you. If you like soul, travel and surfing empty perfect waves then this is the film for you.

Ive just ordered this ill let you know what its like
It has quite a few good reviews and the deluxe version comes with
kelly slaters pro surfing for PC free of charge
Something surf related to do when its flat (which is happening quite a lot these days  )

Yeah, tell me about it, what's with all the flatness? As soon as I finally get all my gear bought and find myself in the habit of getting down to the beach as often as I can it goes flat on me for the best of 2 weeks. (or has it just been one week but feels like two? oh well, it's still pretty bad)

Yeah, I find Kelly Slater helps, I got the game on Xbox and love it. I'm making my way through all the surfers (it's amazing how they've managed to really perfect each surfer's individual style, it's great) and have a few more to go. You'll love it, not sure what the pc version is like though. Sure it's cool.

By the way, has anyone heard about or seen the film "Shelter-16mm Moonshine Experiment No 3." Think it's the same producers that did "Thicker Than Water" and "September Sessions". Looks like quite a promising film. You can't go wrong with about 20 of the world's best surfers featuring in it and the location being Australia. As soon as I've got some £s to spare I reckon I'll get hold of a copy. It's got some really good reviews.

I was a little dissapointed with this movie. If you are looking for a standard surf flick with music and surfing- this is not what you'll get. This movie mixes surfling clips with interviews about why people love surfing. If I was going to buy a movie, it would be one with more surfing and less talking (unless, like in ES, ESII, the talking is done while you watch surfing).

But I mean, if you gonna pirate it, do you really care?

I'd reccomend Bounty Hunters or the produces newer Back in Town. I own Bounty Hunters and Single Fin Yellow, both good flicks but Yellow also has a bit too much "story" in it and less surfing.

Here's a link with some trailers- check 'em out.

Yeah, have to agree, I thought it was an awesome film! I've seen it now and have it on my pc. Watched it about 5 times over. It's one of those feel good surf movies that you'll watch whenever you can't surf for some reason or haven't surfed for a while.

Definitely worth the download or money spent on buying the dvd.

:D

I'm surprised how many people haven't seen it. Personally, it's one of my favorite surf films. Especially the parts on the Malloy Brothers and Cortes Bank.

I think the part where they are surfing on the ocean liner waves is cool. I also couldnt believe how good the girls were at noseriding.

I have a question for anyone who owns the DVD. (BTW I love this film). My second disc developed some problems and I used a DVD cleaner to fix the problem and it ruined it(scratched it terribly). I don't want to buy the whole package again (crap from the wife of buying the same DVD twice). Can anyone burn me a copy of Disc 2 or tell me where I can buy just the second DVD? Thanks for any help!
