Dry season......less trash in the water, bigger and more consistent swells, less rained out sessions ended becoz I don’t want to be hit dead in the chest by lightning, winds groom the waves at my preferred breaks and there are more lefts than rights unlike this time of year with more rights than lefts.

I don't think anyone like surfing in the cold? Summer is always nice if you surf at a break that does not require a wetsuit.

Where I surf, rain mostly also means wind/gusts and stronger currents.
I have no special needs. Sun, no wind, 3-4ft slowly peeling waves and I am fine

I actually like wearing a wetsuit when I surf. I like the water best when it's just cold enough to call for a spring suit. I didn't really enjoy surfing in the tropics on the one day I was able to get out; it was too humid and hot for me even in the lineup. I hate humidity. I'll take San Diego in the summer or a warm fall day in Socal as the perfect climate for me. I like a little chill in the air. I'll leave the tropics to the surfing herds.

Where I live there isn't much change in the seasons other than in the winter the north shore will have waves and during the summer the south shore will have waves and maybe it rains a bit more in the winter. I live on the east side so it has waves most of the time. No favorite season for me.
