Surfing Waves

I would never have to worry about water getting into the board! So shouldn't it make the board go faster as well?

Maybe apply it to your iPhone or your surfshorts or your rash vest but surfboard probably will have less friction if it is rough enough to hold a layer of water over it's surface .....at least that is the theory I have always heard and in my meager testing it seems to hold true
