Any of you fellow North Devon-ers' coming to the Oceanfest this weekend? Phil? Cheezee? Papa W if your in W/combe? Any others?!
Should be a good weekend, and *shock horror* there is actually going to be swell for the surf comp! :shock:

good luck in the comp mate but i think im gonna stay well clear of it this year, stick to surfing saunton away from the hordes of people

No no no, not competing! Maybe in a smaller event that doesnt attract great surfers :D Talking of great surfers, met Alan Stokes (*daydreams*!), Josh Knowles and Lee Bartlett on friday, so stoked! Thats my claim to fame right there, but it was just like talking to anyone, not the people who I see in magazines and movies! I guess its such a down-to-earth sport.

Did u get in at Saunton? Friday was huge at Croyde on the push, and saturday wasnt small either. There was about 15 people out at Croyde Point on friday evening, the most ive seen in ages!

Dude, you should have missioned on down after work! It only really got started 7pm onwards each night!

saturday at saunton was amazing good head high peeling waves surfed from 7:30am till 5pm with a 2 hour break one of the best days surfing ive had pulled off some really nice floaters and hang 5's

saturday wasnt to bad there wernt that many out back the banks right down the beach had setup nicely and there were about 5-6 of us out there, car park end was pretty packed i dont think many people got a wave to them selfs that end
