Laugh longboard 8'

Postby cheam » Fri Jul 24, 2015 8:13 am

Hi guys,

This is my first message so I would like to thanks in advance to all.

By chance fell into my hands a longboard 8 with the FCS cover. My intention is to sell it because I am not much given to the surf and it is a shame to be abandoned. Its history is as follows: Fine surfer arrives on the shores of the Mediterranean by working with his surfboard. We had a great friendship and we exchanged guitar by surfboard when they return to move to another place.
After several jokes of family and friends  , I realize that there are things for which one is not done.
Looking for information I cannot find anything about brand or logo. Or if you have done a shaper etc. . I know that is good because the guy told me that it was good stuff.

I would sell it to someone who can enjoy it and I would like a honest price for the two parties. I believe that I am in the appropriate forum as in Spain, surf is not popular. Could you can give me information and an honest assessment? Apparently has a scratch on the side and some small bun but in general seems to be perfect. Attached photos.

The cover is FCS explorer and it´s equipped by the same brand.

Many thanks and excuse me if it´s the wrong place to submit the question, so please feel free to move if it´s the case..

Hola Cheam, well the joke is I can't figure out about Laugh Surfboards either!

T
All boards are shaped by a shaper either by a machine program or by hand, the longboard is a basic but good board, the fin system is FCS as you noted and the cover is too. But FCS had nothing good to do with the board otherwise.

Depending on where you are in Spain the entire Atlantic coast is full of surf and lots of local and visiting surfers.
You could try around San Sebastián and Bilbao, right through to to Asturias and just google surfing Spain and you will see what I mean.
The swap Spanish guitar for a surfboard seems fair to me.
Take up surfing

Thanks Jaffa1949.

I´m trying to get a new owner for the board. Despite comments such as "you look like a sausage on a board" (yes, my wife loves me a lot  ) my living area is not a proper one for surfing. The mediterranean sea is a calm one and it´s hard to see good waves.

It´s clear that it´s not real a special board, no famous shaper etc.... My fear was to sell wrongly a good board due my lack of knowledge but it´s clear now. Thank you very much.....

North Spain is a great place for surfing as it is bathed by Atlantic ocean. Braver waves there.... Great place and great people. But in the southest part of Spain is a very famous place for surfing: Tarifa. Check it!!

BTW, he ended up discouraged with the spanish guitar but it really was a fair swap. Great friendship since that!!!

Anyway, I will give another chance to surfing this weekend.....

Thanks

I would bet it is not Chinese surfboard, a pencilled name and measurement probably mean it is a real board not a factory pop out.
There is a shaper Doc. LAUGH Clayton who shapes and sells boards out of Hastea Surf Shop in Biaritz in France , check them out.
Maybe €60 to €80 for everything :!:

Barbate is on my list to surf one day.

The signs point to a China made board.
1) penciled in dimensions without a signature
2) gloss polish on a modern shape that normally would be sanded finish
3) FCS stickers on the deck over the plugs
4) black fins
5) biggest sign - the wiggly line center box.
