Art thread

Welll the recent post about paintings of big surf got me wondering if I had any waves I had done from long ago. I guess I always had an interest in art but never took classes in high school because they were always full.......so I ended up taking band till my senior year when I got into beginning art. Immediately I realized I wanted to do art all along and not band although I was taking band I dropped band and got the art teacher to agree to let me take beginning and advanced art at the same time. It was awesome and I wished I had taken art all along instead of wasting all those years playing in the band. I began putting out incredible volumes of art. Lots of people including the art teacher offered to buy my stuff some which I sold and other stuff I didn't but I didn't save any acrylic paintings of waves because I guess they were all too good (I also got pretty good at doing nude women) I gave away a lot of my art because I was pumping out huge amounts of stuff and figured I could always do another. So funny I think the art teacher only liked me because I actually listened to what he said. Anyway I found some waves and other stuff that I still have which means no one wanted it but some of it is ok. I know surfers tend to doodle surf art stuff so feel free to post anything you've done.

to start it off the very first water color painting I ever did in my life it was one of my first projects in the advanced art class. The teacher had me get up and explain to the rest of the class how I did this painting, not because it was good but because I listened to his directions.

I just found this site that has lots of surf art. It has some fantastic renderings of crowded lineups I especially like Cacophony in Sea minor http://www.damianfultonart.com/#!emotional/c1t44
