Lovin it OMS! So many to choose but I'll throw up an old fav and a new discovery of mine for starters. I think you can imagine both as very different backing tracks to surf videos or something.

Top one is Muse (I have one of their CDs) but the second one I am not familiar with. Accent sounds British?

Yeah I've just discovered him, Benjamin Clementine. (Worth a Google)
He's English via time spent as a homeless bum in France. Incredible talent, totally self taught pianist and made up all his own rules musically.
if you like that sort of thing..
Or there's this..

Ol' Man,
I saw you reference to Kanye West and began to wonder whether you started a music sub-forum (smile). Then I saw the more recent posts related to Shocking Blue and Eric Burden & the Animals. Now we are cooking with gas. By the way, did you know the bewitching Mariska Veres in regularly wore wigs in her Shocking Blue days?

Ol' Man,
got a quick story for you related to Shocking Blue. My road racing pit buddy in NorCAL was from the Netherlands (like the band). The few times we spoke about this band, which he was a peer to back in the old country, he'd giggle over how simple the Shocking Blue music is. Even so, I like to play and sing their song, "Never Marry a Railroad Man," and readily admit that Markisa (RIP) was hot.

I hear Mariska died a while back. Funny your connection with them,..... back then in the USA they were a one hit wonder. I liked their music but it wasn't popular in the mainstream Which I wasn't, I was a hard core rock and roller. Here is a cover of that song by a group that is probably older than most of you and it was probably released before you were born too. I had a thing for one of the artists of this group. I met her in an airport back when I was much younger.

Does anyone listen to
Switchfoot? I'm doing an interview with Tim Foreman tomorrow ahead of this year's
Switchfoot Bro-am.
I did pm IB_S about going as I've been offered a spot on the guest list for SW and I know he's just down the road.
The offer is open to anyone who fancies going along and covering the event. (Billie, I know that this is in your neck of the woods but it's a few hours away??)

Music is like art and perhaps surfing fits right in there too. Only a fool is going to judge what they like by what other people like.
