Hi Guys !
I think everybody here know the shaka sign, actually for family reason I wanted to tattoo "Hang Loose" on my arm. (not the sign, just the letters)
It sucks ?
I mean I'm french, and maybe 90% of French people won't understand what's it means.
But for english speakers sufers like you, will I look like an idiot ?

If you want it do it, don't do it for other people, do it for your own reasons.
If you have social obligations in which a Tattoo would be inappropriate put it where it is private for you!
On your forehead it sucks and you would look like an idiot.
Ink is personal, millions of surfers have tattoos.
If you are doing it to impress IMO it's a fail, with a shaka visible you would need to have the surf ability to back the sign.
Tattoos are so commonplace now they are just background.
Make sure if you get one it is well done, bad ink is awful!

I have seen the words "Hang Loose" tattooed on at least two men. It is a dated expression; last used seriously in the USA in the early to mid-1970's. Tattoos do nothing for me. It's up to you, but you probably will not look like an idiot (imbécile).

LOl, for ever I wanted a mermaid coming out of the water with a surfboard, like brining me a magical surfboard, but I just never pulled the trigger. Maybe later when I'm old and need to do something young to myself...
