I got a 2x6 and cut it down to like... two or three feet long, and stuck it ontop of like some six inch pvc pipe, and it works great. Just the smaller the pipe the smaller the board, thats the general rule.

I just found this on Swaylocks.... http://www.swaylocks.com/forum/gforum.c ... 157#111123

interesting what one guys says about filling it with postcrete to make it heavier and have a bit more resistance.

I've been thinking about making one for myself recently too actually - let m eknow how you get on as I'd be interested to know.

here's another:

I've heard several stories of people going arse over breakfast and smashing up their lounge, or TV (or themselves) though when they first try them out!

wait till your local council decide to redo gas piping along a main road near you, hang around the large piles of HUGE long yellow pipe which is about 7/8/9" in diameter and very strong. they chop bits off and leave em around which they dont need, these bits of yellow gas pipe make great rollers, then a piece of wood, rounded at the ends with wooden stoppers (so you dont fling it straight off the end of the roller into the tv) on the ends and hey presto, works a charm, excatly what my dad did for mine. just like the real thing.

tip for use, if you dont put grip tape on it, get your feet dusty first so when they sweat you dont slip and hurt yourself.
have fun :D

i jusdt got an old skateboard, took the trucks off, bought the biggest bottle of coke, drank it, made indo board for £1.29... works ok, better than paying loads for the real thing, plus ive learnt some tricks on it. cheap and hours of entertainment for me and people watching and laughing when i fall off!!
