Largest Mako Shark caught near Huntington Beach

Official record today: the world-record Mako shark was caught yesterday off-shore from Huntington Beach, CA. Here is a written report & video:

Opinion:
Shame such a magnificent creature was pulled from sea and killed

I'm with you billie and think it's a shame. Judging by most of the comments on the article, most other people do also.

Ridiculous isnt it that if you catch a small fish in a lake you weigh it and return it. You catch a world record shark and its perfectly acceptable to kill it. Madness!
