thank you, thank you.
Tried to be conservative, but ate too much anyway because it was all delicious -- turkey, cranberries, potatoes, baked apples, baked yams, stuffing, pecan and pumpkin pies, and, importantly, MARGARITAS!
The heavy meal was followed by a walk, strong coffee, and a big sing along. I played guitar and lead everyone singing songs by the Kingston Trio, The Weavers, Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, a bunch of American folk songs, and more.
With SoCal's warm and sunny weather, it was a marvelous day.

You know, Kitey. I'm up for another Thanksgiving day right now like the last one (described above). We've got Monday, 27 May, as a federal holiday. I do not know what holiday it is, but:
1) it isn't Thanksgiving
2) it is a paid holiday
My surfing-hiking-house repair buddy and I are going exploring on this forthcoming holiday. We'll load boards and big dog in my Isuzu and head west. The highway will say north, but it is truly west. We're going to explore the beautiful, undeveloped, Gaviota coast. If 4-wheel drive is required, then all the better.
We will also take short course to the north. We want to see the most consistent Santa Barbara county break. It's called Jalama. It is very easy to see whales from there. And, by the way, when hiking the southern portion of Gaviota with big dog the other weekend, we saw marvelous whales only 0.2 miles (3.2km) off-shore. It was a bright sunny day and we saw them so well we could distinguish one from another as they leisurely displayed themselves for a quarter mile (0.4km) stretch.

Well i'll drink to that Billie especially as its my flat warming party on the 25th and we too have a bank holiday on the 27th. My trip to the sea though will be somewhat quicker, a 100m dash!
