crappy day

Postby jonny » Tue Nov 09, 2004 5:37 pm

sorry - I need to rant here.

I just got a phone call from my freight agent telling me my shipment of two McTavish Fireballs (both custom orders for customers) has picked a fight with a fork-lift truck. Guess which won! YEP! so I have two Fireballs with holes in the side of them.

THEN - my car packs in and the local garage tells me it'll cost more to fix than it's worth!

now, bad things always come in threes so I'm sitting just waiting now............ probably a bad time to go out on my skateboard......

not sure yet - I'll post a couple of piccies here once I've seen them.

It frustrates me that blood, sweat and tears have gone into making those boards and some dumb-ass in a fork lift just smashes straight into them!

Sounds like a nightmare day. Any insurance?

yeah - you're right, the money side is fine.

It's just knowing that these boards that someone has taken real pride in making, were destined to be customer's dream surfboards and now some half-wit, idiot stoves a fork-lift into them and trashes them in an instant!

I just hate making the phone call - "Hi, you know how I told you your new board would be ready this week, well......."

Luckly I havn't had any probs yet... I always wrap my boards up REALLY wel... taking no chances the foam roll mats are good for an initial layer then bubble wrap.

Gutted dude...

But heres some good news - ME and EM are picking up our van today!

Ok u totally win on the crappy day stakes although mine is a little bit crappy today, was supposed to be surfing with surf club at uni but it was cancelled cos the two main dudes hav injured themselves and was supposed to be rock climbing tomorrow but that has been cancelled cos my instructor fell of the uni wall when he was free climbing and dislocated his ankle. Also just started a new job last week working from 5am till 9am 4 days a week so am up at 4am then have to go to lectures and then obviously i neeeed to go out drinking after that which is just painful the next morning when i have to get up at 4am again! So completley knackered but still have loads and loads of work to do, anyone got any idaes for 3000 words on any aspect of community ecology? How about tips for a practical report on the environmental microbiology of lake water? Me neither. And so just got lots of work and no fun stuff. Oh yeh and ive just found out my boyfriend cant swim, let alone surf, so i cant even teach him when im a bit better. And he wont come climbing either. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. And just to top it off they have barred my credit card and my mobile bill is £160 so all my savings towards a board have gone out of the window because i talk to much. Am a total retard :x
