Jeff Hakman - Tarzan of the waves fully ripped - always made it look so natural - so powerful...
Barry Kainipuni ( forgive the spelling ) - always one for the late drop before the invention of the leggy, riding wafer thin boards at speed, master of the full rail bottom turn - points it to the stars and hits the lip -
Jerry Lopez - surely the most relaxed surfer in the deepest of the death tube that is the Pipeline - perhaps the ultimate of cool in a toob
Larry Bertleman - inventor of the new school progressive style all the way back in the late 70s early 80's doing his skate board tricks on a wave face - launching airs - that became known first as Lairials ( as in larry
) - he was doing stuff that left people un sure of what the hell they were seeing.
Man those were the days for me..... truly awe inspiring men in the worlds best waves........
