Barracuda alert for Florida water lovers

See the video news at above link to see how badly a 9-year old girl was bitten by a baracuda near Key West. She was snorkeling, not surfing. I've seen some 6-footers (1.8m) barracuda in the same area. It's amazing to see one of these big fish within arms reach. Barracuda like clear water so they usually avoid muddy shallows and surf zones. That should provide some comfort to Florida surfers. It also means when something big bites them, it's more apt to be a shark instead of a barracuda!
