I'm not allowed to take my board on holiday!

For the past couple of years I always ask if i can take my board with us on holiday. We just go to south coast of Spain and I know its not known for its surf but last year there was loads going on! Even if there is no surf I would still be playing/ paddling in the sea with it. My husband always replies " I'll buy you a really good lilo" .....not quite the same!
I should mention that its 8ft and we do have two kids to pack in too :-) However we will be there for 4 weeks so i think its worth it.
If I dont get to take it does anyone know anywhere to hire surfboard along that coast? Been checking online but cant see anything. Last year I borrowed this 1960's wooden longboard and nearly killed myself so want to go prepared this time.
Any suggestions welcome.

I'll buy you a really good lilo
 - He's obviously got a good sense of humour.
I would have thought that having a surfboard would help to keep the kids occupied.

Divorce is a bit harsh and also I wouldn't get 4 week holidays either!
I too thought the kids would love it....... and I would get a crackin tan floating on it 8)

Tell your Mister that you are taking it. I've never understood spouses that tell the other that they can't ride motorcycles, play guitars, shoot guns, go surfing, go fishing, whatever. Never undestood spouses that don't help the other do things they really enjoy. In my household, there is huge reciprocation. Hope there will be some in your household soon, missy.

lol in my family it's a fight with the wife and kids for space on the roof of the truck for boards, we've got too many and everybody wants to take 2 :D

Hope you sort it out Missy. About 22 years ago I went to the South Coast of spain, took a board, and had a couple of great sessions.
