Ok, did he really rig the lottery? or was it all smoke and mirrors? The only thing i'm sure he didn't do is get 24 people to pick the lottery numbers! But top marks for showmanship.

I saw the adverts but missed the show. Can you give us the jist?

There was a 10 min live programme last wednesday on Channel 4, at the same time as the lottery, that showed Derren Brown in a studio with 6 balls turned away from the camera and a TV screen. He turned on the live draw from the BBC...which was live because you could flick between the two...and he turned the numbers around to reveal he had picked all 6.

Then on friday he does a whole programme about a group of 24 people he selected to work together to pick numbers, which went into a load of maths theories and patterns, that he said is able to predict the most likely numbers from a random source ..and he did some demonstrations of how he can influence peoples choices of numbers etc.

Then at the end he gives an explanation saying 'this is how I would have done it, but I didn't do it' about smuggling in weighted balls to the BBC, hypnotising security guards, then switching the balls back after the draw.

Mmmmh. So he doesn't actually tell you how he did it.

He's never used trick photography or graphics before so it couldn't be that. Have internet searched it?

There's been theories in the newspapers, of which camera tricks seem the most plausible, but i'd be disappointed if it was that simple.

Did you see the show where he made people "stick" to their seats? I watched it out of curiosity, and I know 6 other people who watched it too and none of us stuck to our seats!!! anyone know anyone who did or is he just full of s##t???
