Surfing Waves

Anyone else notice a significant drop in posts and in members?

Seems like every time I check back it's still the same.....I almost miss "will this 8'6" gun longboard be good for me to learn on" posts.

Who is here? New site lay out just chase everyone off? It kinda feels like a different place to me with it...

Hope everyone is doing well, scoring waves, and taking it easy.

Yeah....seems we have kinda hit a lull spot.

yep, I had absolutely no days off this month, so not a lot of time or energy for posting, let alone surfing.

It always drops off a little in the (northern hemisphere) winter - now you lot up there are coming into spring, the place will soon be full of the usual "Ive never surfed; will this 6'1 be the right board for me?" type posts.

Not sure, it seems that begginers have a lot of questions but once they get their answer they are out of here. Just not sure if there is enough banter to keep intermediate and advanced surfers entertained.

Then again I joined in October and post two or three times a week, but I'm a surfing nerd anyway

Yeah I'm just saying that in the almost four years I have been here, this is the slowest I have seen it. Ever.

I generally kinda go away for the summer, and come back in the fall through spring. But the same "locals" are still here, and I just feel like the core group has left.

I'm still around, just waiting for the snow to come, so I can post loads of photos and piss Real Pol off

And my mate RJD is away in Noosa at the moment, probably cruising for a bloke, they're into that sort of thing over there apparently.

Still here keeping an eye on the posts. Going to be very busy kiting out my new surf bus soon but will start a photo thread on it soon.
Here it is though. Going to pick it up tomorrow.

I blame ESSEX , he's the new moderator and he's probably power mad deleting all posts that don't include the line 'ESSEX for president'.

I stick my head in from time to time. Makes a change from putting my foot in things!

I'm still here, but haven't really contributed much lately. I get kinda bored of all the usual surf questions and have always been more interested in the "general chat" section......but general chat with like-minded surfer-types (before you boot me off).
Maybe I should put more of an effort in.............*enter sleeping emoticon here*

Well good to get a little update from ya'll.

Hang, make sure you get some snow pics up, our mountain is still "open"...but you know....made it out to where hawaiisucks works two weeks ago, was gonna meet up with him to ride some but didn't work out. I'm in snow withdrawal

i think the site isnt local enough for me. i mean, no one from hawaii.

tomcat - sorry i missed you, i went for one run on main vein, lost control and slid into a tree. i was hurting and my ego was shot too since the first time i got hurt all season was on a green run. i was already so unmotivated because of the conditions. i ended up going grocery shopping.but im stoked again, it snowed like 12 inches yesterday.

Ah it's all cool man. Pretty good season if that's the first bad wreck. That day we played around in those back bowls all day, tried to make it to the cat before it closed (said on the site in the morning it was closed) and we didn't make it in time. Cool to hear ya'll got more snow.....wish I could say the same...
