Surfing Waves

Just saw the Matthew Mcconaughey movie Surfer, Dude. Horrible movie. Anyone else see it?

yeah i saw it also thought it was pretty bad. ill watch surf ninjas over that any time.

Total crap - glad I downloaded it off bitorrent and didn't pay to endure it

Aye, a bad flick it was... (gives surfing a bad name in some ways ) I wanted it to be better than it was... It failed me. Worse still its winter here in New England, and there is 6 inches of snow on the ground + flat, flat, flat!

What was so bad about it?
You're making me want to watch it to see what's wrong with it!!!

1. You can't understand what anyone's saying, they sort of think that all surfers talk in some sort of strungout druggie mumble.
2. All they do in the movie is whine about how there are no waves and smoke pot.
3. You just start to really hate Matthew McConaughey.
4. The plot is all over the place, with a hundred things going on at once, but nothing really getting done.
5. etc.

some of the music was actually decent though.

You do know its not meant to be serious... :p

Its amusing, the same way a bad chick-flick is amusing... it just gives us real surfers a bad name...

I totally disagree with everyone. I thought that movie was Epic. Definitely deserves some sort of award. I'm actually thinking of going out and buying all the dvd's on stock at wally world. Then I've got presents to give to people for their birthdays, weddings, holidays, ............

I just watched like first few minutes of Surf Nazis Must Die... I seriously can't stop laughing Hahhahah

if you watch about half an hour of it, your still just as confused as you are in the first couple of minutes- it has no driection, just random swastika's everywhere. One to watch while smoking you know what

I saw a movie on TV back in the 90's. From what I remember it was about a kid who was a champ surfer, but had only surfed in a pool. He moved out to Hawaii and was helping an old guru design artwork for surfboards. I remember the old guru dude explaining soul surfing to the kid. Any idea what the film was? No idea who was in it, and it was fairly cheesy.

haha i understand it all perfect. some people ive met in CO from the east coast tell me i talk like a surfer but ive never heard that before leaving home, in hawaii i sound less surfer than most.

of course they did throw i some extra "dude's" here and there
