*majorly embarrassing as it's soooooooooo lame*

the first thumb (my right) i was just tidying up after recently moving house and was lifting something out of the way when it went, the second thumb (my left), all i did was get into bed, put my left hand on the bed to swing my legs over and it popped
the specialist i saw the other day said he'd never seen joints so mobile as mine and reckons that i should have surgery on both my thumbs to keep them in place

he's made an appointment for me to discuss what he wants to do with them, in 2 weeks time.
oh and rev - i can't draw on my cast as they bandaged over the top as the cast is split for swelling... but good idea!
i've put up with dislocating stuff since i was 9 years old but now it's happening so regularly it's ridiculous. a good week of my travels round hawaii the other year was ruined when i dislocated my toe and could barely walk. i had to stop surfing for 4 days and just lie on the beach (sipping cocktails

)
i don't want surgery though (cuz of other health issues) and fixing my thumbs would only be a start... they'd have to pin all the other things that dislocate - like my toes, my shoulder and my right hip. i'm just gonna leave it for now and hope my thumbs heal quickly and don't pop out again!

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
