That's the reason why he won! (I hope not  ) I can't wait to see how he gets the U.S. out of their deep hole of debt.

First off Congress is just as much to blame as Bush(their approval rating is lower)--the president can't wipe his ass without out their approval. Not saying I like Bush, just saying that.

It's Barack for future reference.

I wouldn't be upset with either candidate if I knew people elected them after actually studying them. But after just walking around in the little riot we had here, there was more ignorance out of that group of people than I have ever seen. Keep in mind they are young, incredibly impressionable college kids that will follow a cat off a cliff.

Really not knocking either way. Just bitter about some of those kids I just saw.

How do ya'll over the other side of the pond feel? Same old US?

No they just blindly followed. Completely sober. You could go up to them and say, "Why did you vote for (just example) Barack?"

"Because I believe in what he believes in."
Which is?
"Change"
Change what?
"Things like.....the economy."
How?

....

....

That's definitely the majority of them. McCain supporters will do the same but I feel like because the town I am in is pretty liberal the bandwagoners picked up more with Obama.

Was Nader on the ticket again this year? Hadn't seen anything since I looked at his website back in the summer.

Ok, now taking bets on how long before someone makes an attempt to assassinate him...

Seriously, I think it's a step in the right direction after the bloody minded leadership of Bush!

I thought it would have been funny if McCain won then died. Then Palin would'v been president.

Really though my only laughs then would have been nervous ones!!

Palin is still hot. Haha. My buddy said she's hotter in person too.

Well we’ll see how he does.
As I work for an American multi-national company I wanted the republicans in. Tax the poor that’s what I say! If they’re too lazy to get proper jobs then I shouldn’t be paying for their benefits! Africa could easily get out of poverty if they got off their backsides and worked, but they just want handouts from hard working Americans..erm..global citizens like me! Abortions should be outlawed, who are we to say who should live and die, that’s Gods business……..and the death penalty should be brought back for those people off work sick for more than 6 months!

i personally found barack just a better overall canidate
being 15 i have a completely different perspective
he wants to increase teachers pay and help out the middle class
excellent ideas
and as to tax the poor till they get a job? what about the man who lost his job as his middle class worker for large company.is shifted overseas and loses his job.now on the sour side he cannot find work and goes bankrupt from such high taxes?
happens often enough
plus he doesnt rely on bitter last ditch attacks as McCain does
final point is all those rich people can afford higher taxes, not tax breaks
and the war is just tiresome

I bet my grandfather never thought there would be African print drapes in the white house..........the change B.O. is talking about is the bullet proof glass they are putting in the oval office.

I feel it is a great statement as to where society has evolved in regard to racial equality. I hope B.O. brings good change to the steaming pile of an economy he is stepping into.

They both were mudslingers. It's politics (=gay)

But you can go ahead and except to make 20% less after college.

Africa is a whole new can of worms....I see it as an issue that the western civilized world created because they were fine when they were living in huts, until we decided they needed Walmart clothes and that their way of living was wrong.

What do you mean, "brought back" the death penalty? Haha, I live in the number 2 killin state. But yeah it's cheaper to keep someone alive from age 18 than to kill them, plus no regrets.
