Skate Boarding Bearings

Has any one ever heard of using SKF bearings for a skate board?

Am a engineer and just by chance one of my supliers has deliverd 3 bearings the same size as a skate board am going to try them later

any one ever used them b4?

i never heard of them, might as well give em a shot. for me it was black panthers for smoothness, bones swiss for speed. i haven't tried the bones ceramics yet, but i guess they're good

If they are the right size they should work.....do they have an ABEC rating? 3 or 5 is good for skating.

I just run cheap-o Reds....get me going plenty fast enough to hurt myself!! :lol:

was using wheel chair bearings for a while,seemed a bit slow at first(i guess the greese in them was thick) but whent ok after a bit.

They should be really good. When I was a teenager & into speedskating (roller) there were all sorts of esoteric brands of bearings as you can imagine - like skateboarding now. But when I tried $2 SKF bearings they were brilliant. Easily better than most.
Not ceramic though. that's a whole different league.

SKF are very high quality engineering bearing manfacturers.

Yep i now i only had enuf free of charge to try one wheel, they seam beter than cheap bearings but dont roll as much as the fracture ABC 7? think they may loosen up the more i scate on them

The best bearings money can buy.......Pleasure Tool ABEC 7.
