Is depression causing erectile dysfunction?

Postby mak1in » Mon Oct 13, 2008 9:02 am

Hi all,
I have been on anti-depression pills for last 2 years and I got into that as my job is very stressing and needs a lot. Now I fell that these medicines are affecting me. Studies have shown that male with depression are more prone to ED disorder. I am 39 and think that I am suffering with this disorder and it is affecting my life. The whole day I feel stressed about my health and my sex life.
{link removed} From this link I got to know that {removed} is a FDA approved drug and helps in treating impotency and ED disorders in men suffering from risky medical conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes.
Should I have this medicine to get over my disorder or should I try some herbal medication. Should I continue to have my anti-depression pills? Is there anyone who has faced such problem and can share his experience with me? I will be grateful if anyone can shed some light on this and can suggest me what can I do.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Man Bro, I'm thinking is this guy for real? Why would you post this on a surf forum? Stay away from doctors that easily prescribe anti-depression pills. Take control of your life. Get a new lob or change the way you handle stress at this one. Eat a good diet, be more active. Surf?

haha I agree - it should be part of the instant coffee mix in every workplace! Could make for awkward staff christmas parties though!

Yo I gotta agree with scsurf on this one,,, first off is this for real?? and if so then my advice is #1 stay the F@#K away from Doctors who are readly fast to give a presciption drug to fix depresion! ! 2nd It sound like these drugs are screwing you up in outher ways which then leads to depresion and outher medical problems right??? !!!! If you so do have an erectile problem that would lead any 39 yr old male into depresion !!! As for work being stresfull and bills piling up and kids/wife and , and, and,,and,,, that allso leads into depresion for every guy period!!! Couple that with age, diet, excercise, sleep, and fun activities being poor or missing weel that don't help ither !!! so if you look at a realy large picture I think you should be looking at doing/changing in some of if not all of your current lifestyle. I've had 2 cousins on this anti depresant drugs and 3 friends on this shizz one cousin who had only been mild went deep into depresion due to the inbalance the drug created and she comited suicide one cousin and all friends have worked with thier new doctors and myself for about 2 yrs and found diet, excercise, job, lifestyle changes did the job. Yes it takes a huge amount of work and dedication,,, But then when is anything worth the damn easy?? If it's important to you than you will do it, there is no magic pill for wieght loss, depresion, or the likes allso study after study shows more problems are associated with anti depression meds than not,,, so why would you subject yourself to more or greater problems. What do you do now if your on all these pills and your heart gets hurt or then loose more sleep or gain huge amounts of weight,,,, just take anouther pill??? Untill what your poping 10 to 15 a day for every outher ailment??? and then stress out cause it's 1/3 of your salery of your stressfull job ???!!! Which then makes you look for anouther pill???? You realy in all need to find out what's the most important to you then act on it.... For me If my work was one of the problems than it would be time to leave,, and why not are they paying me extra to take a risky pill or more for the loss of weenie use??? NO !!! so why would I let anybody do me like that!!!! You just need to evaluate some of your life and what's the most important,, money or health, money or happiness, job or sex, etc.

Look into all the alternitaves to some pharmo companies drugs they realy are not the answer do some homework on them,, If you truley need some drug than look at the side affects vs the fix,,, sound to me these drugs are chemicly inbalanceing you and having neg side affects which is making you depresed wich well,,,, is why you were taking the damn pill for in the first place!!!! Really how is that helping??

Yeah, I kinda wondered if it was. But thought I'd respond just in case. There's all kinds of folk out there in the big freaky world.

I agree with Milo on the Jesus part too.

Spam robot. Just goes around posting spam. Hence the off topic for the forum random post, first post, etc. Also he hasn't been back, and never will. Plus two links that someone removed were there for advert purposes.
