Bob Marley

Postby Pirate-Steve » Fri Jun 20, 2008 12:07 pm

I recently watched a film made about Bob Marley
to me he is the most influential man that ever lived
whenever i'm angry i listen to Bob and he makes averything calm again
Anyone else find that he was Legend?

girlfriend hates him.... may have to break up lol!!!
always play a bit of bob while looking for waves, keeps everything nice and chilled..
also think i'm a much safer driver when he's on the stereo.... leftfield (and similar) seems to turn me into a bit of a boy racer, lunatic - mad overtaking, constant speeding, impatient with slower drivers...
but bob makes everything seem to go much easier..

I used to haaaate his music.
Don't ask why.. I guess I used to think it was soo simple and boring.. which was not the point of it I later realised.

One day I was in Mexico surfing with some friends in 29 degree C weather (85 F.. so perfect) and we were kicking back in this little bar drinking beer having such a simple great time then the bar/restaurants music switched to Bob Marley greatest hits and that music with the perfect time we were having just sitting there talking about nonsense and laughing enjoying Corona made me fall in love with the music.

I guess it took the right moment and place for it to click that his music isn't just about peace and happiness its about just feeling good and enjoying life with the people you love to be around... at least for me that is how I feel the music now.

Always seems the best when sitting back in the sun chilling.

Though used to go to a reggae club in Tenerife and it was ace.
My problem is I dont know much else in that stuff apart from BM. love the music but just dont know what else is worth listening too.
