Can't rember the name its on the hill just b4 you take the turning from santon down to woolacomb bay.

The owner was telling me that the councel make all the site shut threw the winter. but he just said he leaves the shawer blocks open and if any one turns up he just charges them a £5 in the morning that way he cant get fined!!

dont know if its tru like?

Hey Outonawave... Hidden Valley is open all year i think. Might be the place Johno is thinking of? It's about 5miles out from Braunton i think, towards Woolly. Never stayed there so i dunno what it's like. Web addy is: www.hiddenvalleypark.com

Have a good'un!

Yup - the two choices have been said...

The Orchard in Croyde - thats just a small plot of land behind the post office in the village. No need to book in winter. And cheap - about six pounds per person (not per vehicle/pitch)

then there's hidden valley, a few miles out of braunton on the ilfracombe road. Thats a bit posher - and hence more expensive. But you can plug in, hot showers etc etc.
They're open 365 days a year, but they close the office at 5pm and you cant get on to camp after that (well, you can, but dont say I said so...).
And there are no pubs in easy walking distance, except for the campsite bar which is a bit weird...

cheers - i managed to get through to the orchard - they`re open at the mo, so think we`ll give that one a go - £7 per person and a short walk to the thatch :)
