On Wednesday, February 6th at 9am at the Oceanside city hall, the California Coastal commission is meeting. One of the items on their agenda is the proposed extension of the foothill toll road (241). If they approve the extension, it will run through San Onofre state park and ruin natural habitats, as well has having a negative impact on the shoreline in the area. Many local surfers are opposed to this extension, as it may also impact wave quality, in addition to not being the best idea of the local environment.
So if you are in the area please attend the meeting and let your opinions be known.
Thank you.

The meeting's tomorrow, from what I understand they have moved it because they were expecting a large turnout. The pro-toll road group is supposedly even bussing people in for the meeting.
So now the meeting is at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Wyland Hall.
