Surfing Waves

First of all i´d like to introduce myself and apologyse about my english. My name is Alfredo, i´m 20 years old and I´m from uruguay. The reason for me to post this new topic i becouse i´m in need of help . I´m going to study to d states for a semester next year. But i don´t know were to go, and my desicion is based on surfing. My first option is california, cuz i want to surf all day if possible. But i would like to know wich other place has good surfing! can u help me? or recomend me a place where to go?
