Background:

Living with my mum n step-dad for a while. The two of them have been away for a fortnight because my step-dad's dad just died (obviously he's taking it really badly). I'm here alone and the only responsilbility I was given was to feed the fish..."James (my S-dad) will be furious if his fish die too!". And I HAVE been feeding the fish, the right amount at the right times, but I got up this morning and....

ONE OF THEM HAD DIED!!!! :shock:

Me ma made a reet big deal about feeding them n all. They don't even have names but he's had them for years and is pretty attached. They're flipping old though, it is no sruprise one died, but while I was meant to be feeding 'em!!....fleshin' hell.

I don't know why I'm telling y'all this. I'm dreading telling my step-dad, I haven't even spoke to him since his dad died and the first thing I'll be telling him is I killed his fish. I sorta don't know whether to laugh or cry!

Now the fish is stuck up the central ruddy filter thing and fook knows how I'll get it out!!! :shock:

It's ALIVE!!!!

I just went to pull what I thought would be it's corpse out of the filter and it was alive! It must've just got stuck! And when I poked it this morning and it didn't move...sleeping maybe?

YAY fish are a lot more resilliant than people think, lol, just feed it separatley if you can incase there is any brain damage and the other fish get to the foor first

if it is gonna die, lets hope its after your step dad gets back.. that way if hes gonna be crushed by the whole thing.. you don't have to be the one responsible!!

thats insane, maybe he/she/it just got a bit bored and decided to try something to get the old adrenaline going.... :!:

see now, if that was my kinda luck, the fish would have been sucked into the filter, broke the filter, i would have tried to fix it and failed then killed all the other fish.......well i guess i am just lucky that none of my relatives dont have fish :!:

Nah, the central chimney thingy has a space between the filter intake tube and the wall of the chimney thing. It had just wedged itself between the two!

The fact that when I poked the bit sticking out (several times) this morning and it didn't move at all is weird. Ah well, it was pretty funny anyway, even if I did almost brown myself!

I told my step-dad what happened and he actually foundit really funny, so all in all a good thing, I look good for keeping a keen eye on the fish, he got cheered up, fish survived. :thumbs:
