I'm gonna be buying tickets to see Arctic Monkeys in a few days. I dunno who I'm going with just yet so I thought I'd buy the the 4 available per person, but that might mean I have one left over that I'd have to sell. I dunno what the deal is with tickets these days, I know that with festivals they only accept tickets off the person whose name is on the ticket.
Is this true for big gigs too???

Oh, also any festival goers have any tips on buying tickets that will likely be sold in 20mins? Is it better to buy 'em online or off ze phone?

i think you can probably sell them on - i know my mate bought a reading festival ticket off ebay and got in so there must be a way. you could even meet up with the person you sell it too then go in with them then leave them. or just give them your name.
and i think internet might be quicker - not sure though.

I don't think you'll have any probs flogging tickets unless the agents state that they are non-transferable. My mate had a ticket that I had to sell it on Friday cos she got sick and couldn't go, stuck it on eBay, it sold (Buy It Now) Saturday morning and I got all the details transferred over in time for the show last night (talk about short notice!!).
Buying the tickets... sit in front of the computer and on the phone until you get them. I'm coming over for a show next week, the VIP tickets sold out within an hour - I was sitting there from an hour before the tickets went on sale, clicking away furiously and just scraped it - got my confirmation just as the page updated to there only being 5 tickets left.

It's a nightmare! I was on the Arctic Monkeys mailing list and was meant to be sent codes so that I could buy 'em today but the fleshin' up and I wasn't sent any!!!!
Even worse is that most other people on the mailing list seemed to get their codes. So I am NOT happy. Anyway, I'm having to wait till Thursday now and muck in with the general public. I reckon I'll be lucky if I get any tbh, and if not i'll be gutted!!

my mate went to see them and she said it was awesome apart from she dehydrated and fainted.
so make sure you drink plenty... of water i mean
My hellogoodbye ticket hasnt come through yet... i'm worried it's not gonna come
