feelin a fair bit better now. 1984 strat out n played some blues. forgot how good that guitar sounds!! cheers for all the comments guys. funny isnt it. i told u lot before any of my mates.

Do what feels comfortable! YOu may think thats its odd you shoud be "getting over it" so quickly but you will hav pangs of this and that memories/sadness etc.. Its the way it works unfortunatly. You seem a down to earth guy and think of the positive sides of your expecences you shared together.

I'm still in my self proclamed cooling off period where I want to be comfortable with myself again.. certanly give time to reflect on whats important to you.

i was dating a girl for 6 months and then i saw her holding hands with her ex-boyfriend. the whole thing about guys being more promiscuous when in serous relationships is B.S.

now i have a friend i see almost every day who likes to keep me on her shelf by not getting serious but also not telling me that shes seeing other guys (which i know).

girls are f$@ked up. meet another one scarburough, she will not change.

also on the blues note, have you heard of the black keys? if you like blues, they are like contemporary rock, strong blues influenced

Been seeing someone for a few weeks, arranged to pick him up to go out last night. Got all excited and everything (really liked him)...

Not only does he stand me up and refuse to talk to me, hes given my mobile number to one of his mates who is so desperate for a shag, that hes hassling me AND two of my mates :evil:

The nasty thing is he's 46... so its not like he's young enough to get away with it :roll:

I earn double the amount he does, so its definitely NOT his money I'm interested in, and he did all the chasing (starting 3 years ago!!), so why the sudden cool off... I haven't got a clue. All I know is that I was supposed to pick him up at 11pm, he texted me at 10.57 asking where I was, I replied, telling him I was round the corner (literally!) and by the time I got there at bang on 11, he wasn't there.

Ah well, his loss. At least I wont have to worry about behaving myself when i go out with the lads in a couple of weeks :wink:

what is it about older guys then? my friend told me maturity, have their own place, mature, mature, mature. but then i replied with something like you are just as if not more immature than me with your farting in my face and such, and what is it that the guy sees in the girl then besides her young body and naive, immature behavior, like being available and not tied down by jobs, etc.. to which there was no real response.

U Have Got TO READ this ONE.
So I know this post is old, and maybe no one will read this, BUT... i have really enjoyed reading back through it this evening since I can definetely RELATE tonight. . .

When my boyfriend of 3.5 years went out of town fishing with his Dad 2 months (October 2007) ago, I found out he was cheating on me...!!!
When I was in his house leaving a surprise surf painting I'd been working on (for 6 months!!!) for him in his room, a car pulled up his drive...TA-DA! meet Mrs. I-Didn't-Know-He-Had-A-Girlfriend :shock:

. I told her I was his sister, that I was happy to meet her, and that we should do lunch (haha) since he was out. (Out of this whole thing, I felt most guilty about this tiny lie)
ANYWAYS, I cried in private the entire week he was away...my heart is broken like sea glass, :cry:

literally...but then I got mad. Since he's been back, I havn't let on that I know a thing, and I can't believe what a lier he is.
THE GOOD PART: My 20th birthday is in 4 days, December 30th, and I've "heard" from my best friend that there is a big surprise party he is planning (because apparrently he decided with himself that he still "loves" me or something :roll:

) with his entire family there, and he is planning to propose to me. I've been working on a new painting... :lol:

It's a girl surfer walking away into the sunset with the caption(brackets are inserted in smeary bold black paint) "Tell my [EX]boyfriend . . .I went surfing." I'll try to post a pic of it soon. This will be planted at the party courteousy of my best friend, who he invited to the "engagement party" of course. (She happens to be the only one in on the CHEATING secret via me). And finally...as his "sister" I called Mrs. Didn't-Know-He-Had-A-Girlfriend and invited her to my "brother's" surprise party. Needless to say, he's going to have plenty of explaining to do, and I am just glad I have been able to come to terms with everything, and realize that I don't have ANY MORE of my time to waste listening to his Bull$***. :wink:

He can waste his breath telling his own mother who the stranger hooch is that just showed up. Happy New Year's Everybody!
