oooh i missed everyone getting a little testy today - I could've done with venting too!

im sure everyone who came across as a little harsh meant every word of it but thats because you contribute nothing to the forum except

"not long till combe!! jurg jurg"

wtf do you expect!!

yes we will continue to talk about bands and other interests in the chat section of a surf forum because it is chat - ie conversation.
it is not repeating rubbish over and over again once a year when you manage to get let out.

It contributes nothing to anyone except annoyance - hence the talk of banning?

Have anything else to offer other than 'not long till combe, jurg'

Lets look at the facts - in just over 24hrs - this subject has generated 541 views and 65 posts.

That out performs the majority of the threads on here - so you must all love it really. We've also noticed some of you using the whole 'Not Long Till......' construct yourselves including you KS. But that's OK.

So, all that's left for me to say now is Happy Combe Day to everybody and we'll see you again in November for the 2008 Not Long Till Combe countdown.

Have a great weekend all.

JURG!

Wise words, DelbsGaffer.

Yep, I noticed the 'Not Long Till Saunton' thread, and Mr Kitesurfer has used the construct in a number of his myspace posts. Once again an incredibly unpopular thread has become extremely popular.

Signing off, so just time to wish everyone a Happy Combe day. Enjoy yourselves.

Bye.

And as for the popularity and length of this thread - its not really up there with 'Latest Surfs' is it? But then you sad w@nkers wouldnt be able to contribute much to that one.

why do you all hate them so much?

I'll admit they do seem a bit annoying but this is the most animosity I've seen on here, ever.

I quite like it.

because they did the same thing last year.

dont want it to turn into a nasty forum (cant see it happening btw) but the popularity of this thread is due to the rare and interesting animosity that you mentioned.

Sar your avatar is starting to scare me.

Chris i think the problem is caused by a bunch of nobs that seem to have posted a few times in order to, i say this loosley "big themselves up." They have contributed very little to the forum, and life in itself, it appears, thats why the postings have been a little cutting.

This thread surprised me so i didnt get involved.

I hang out in another forum (for watford football supporters) and everyone bickers all the time. Some of its really funny but generally it doesnt make it as much fun as a chilled out welcoming forum

I like it here and hope people that try and stir up trouble stay away
