Dunno, relevant degree I suppose. I've got one in Marine Biology which isn't too relevant. I've also got regulatory and environmental experience.

Utilising your experience is the best bet. Gas fitter eh? Do you have any drainage experience? Forces = people managing, good communications with operators etc.

Check out the Environment Agency website to see the types of jobs available and see if any would work for you.

Oh, you also need an unhealthy obsession with all environmental issues which you then proceed to bore all your friends and family with!

I get up, surf, eat lunch, think about surf, shop for new flip-flops, surf, munch on some dinner, check email, decide where to surf tomorrow, sleep, repeat....

At least until the wife shows up in a month :D

How is this wonderful existance you have being financed? Inheritance? Business owner (others doing work for you...while you just get paychecks sent to Costa Rica)? Investments? Is the wife off working somewhere else making a boatload of money while you'll get to surf all day and buy flip/flops? If its legal...I need to know how I can get this lifestyle you've got (living in tropical paradise...married w/ kids and a dog to support).

I am a profesional athelete....just currently working in a job as a second line IT support person.

I am sick off all the office crap, so I am ditching it all, and moving to Australia after Ironman Florida(so sometime in november)...which is getting ever closer, I still have little money, I need to get on to selling all my crap so I can afford to go.

This website is my full time job now. I have finshed with the other websites I used to have on the past and work on this one full time. ( a little less than full time for the most part :wink: )

You can't beat working for yourself. Working from home has it's benefits also.

I am desktop support level 2 for Solar Turbines in San Diego. Looking forward to starting my own company in the future. The financing is the biggest hurtle at the moment. I used to code my own websites but I got really tired of it. I have a lot of hobbies that I could try and make money at but I don't think I am good enough at any of them.....lol.

well i am in the stressful world of Sales.

i have just changed jobs and am now working for a large Lighting Manufacturer. They are based in Gillingham Dorset, but my patch will be East Sussex, Kent and some of South London so i will be relocating as soon as possible this year, hopefully Tunbridge Wells area.

It's pretty hard going but the perks are pretty damn good, company car, hefty bonuses, well paid.....although i would still much rather be travelling around the world surfing and snowboarding, taking photos :wink:

* HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL * :D

I sell posh pens and stationery for a living - a 'journey man' to use an old fashioned phrase, I suppose. My sales patch covers E Midlands, Norfolk, Suffolk, Bucks, Berks, Herts, Essex, N & E London - hence lots of mileage!!! :evil:
