The one of the guy off google is damned funny!!!

I think some ink on the ladies looks good, and can be inviting...like the lower-back ones now, or something in the bikini-line to draw you attention down there!....nice!

I'm wanting to get a couple, but haven't yet. I want to do somekind of Irish-style clover on my shoulder-blade, and maybe a bicep-ring later.

I just came back from Hawaii, where I rode a turtle for the first time, so I might even kick around doin onea those (cuz it matches my laid-back style too).

Hey Libby!....where are the pix of yours?!?!
(tryin to help, boiz!)

Had an awsome time, swam with dolphins twice, saw sperm whales, went zorbing again, went sea kayaking, horse trekking etc etc. Now Back in Mount Maunganui at Brents, awaiting a ridiculously hot christmas.

Aaaaaanyways sorry for bringing up such an old thread but i thought you would be interested to know Cheezemeister that i got another tattoo woohoooo.

Its a hibiscus flower, like the ones on my UK surfboard, about 4cm diametre on the inside of my left wrist. Got it done in Queenstown at a place called White Tiger Designs....

Anyhooo catch you all later, hope everyones well

i like tatoos and i reckon i will get one......just i think if you are going to get one ....GET A TATTOO.....im not such a big fan of the smaller designs because almost everyone has one.....i know some people who get tiny tattoos only to say they have one to guys, thats just lame.

dont get me wrong smaller tattoos can look really pretty on girls but on a guy i reckon they can get away with more ink......i really like the tattoo that tommy lee has on his back......lol i just like tommy lee!

ps did anyone elses parents get tattoos when they went through a mid life crisis!?!?

I can guarantee that if I'd got one when I was 20 - I would hate it now - my tastes have completely changed from then and most of the things I liked back then are an embarrassment to me now.

I never even thought about getting a tattoo, cos I personally don't see the point, but hey!

Just about the only thing I still like from back then is Surfing, and even my attitude toward that has changed. Back then it was all about really ripping it up, riding big gnarly waves etc, but now it's all about the buzz - this is why I progressed from a shortboard to a mini-mal and I'm now having heaps more fun than I ever did!!

My point is that you cannot tell what you will like in 10 years time, let alone 20/ 30. So why risk it?

This is my personal opinion - I don't judge anyone for getting one, I think some tattoos look cool (now) but I wouldn't ever get one myself.

I here you there.... although I had my nipple pieced in 1998 and still like it. I am 27 and changed to longboards about 3 years ago after experiencing how comfortable they are to ride; when are you going to move to a proper sized mal Sinista? If you still like the shortboard feel why don't you try a lite 3 fin 9 footer?

On the topic of tattoos, I like artistic line work but don't go much on pictorial tat's... If I ever get rich and can afford the stigmatism that often goes with tat's, I will cover my left shoulder and rap up into my neck with some sort of tribal design; may also do my hips rapping into the centre of my back... highly unlikely that I will get rich at this stage though…

The only things stopping me are Finance & Storage space.

I'd like a proper Mal - my mate rides a 9'6 which is well cool, I love riding it - but they're way to expensive for me. The mini-mal was a present from my wife!!

I sold and gave away all my boards except my 9'6" before coming to Portugal... When I grasp the language and get a job I will start putting my plans of my future 9"1' in motion... just don't know if I will have it shaped here. Would Like Mick Carabine to shape it back home for when I head back for a holiday... I am thinking 3 fin, 60/40 rails, triple stringer; know his Volan work is good and I think I will go with a ceder stringer, nose and tail block setup again; don't trust the local shapers here yet, future will tell.

I have rode a couple of mini-mals and feel that they lack the best parts of both shortboarding and longboarding; but guess they are a great all round alternative.

A guy I used to date had the most beautiful tatt I have ever seen. The ocean on his lower back with 2 dolphins jumping out of the waves and an angel looking over it all. Took up a good portion of his back. Not cartoonish...all black inked.

See I'm sure they look great and I'm not dissing that 'landscape' style of tat. but its just as if the body is a picture... not really utilising the curves and twists of the body like some designs or self drawn designs do.

Any thoughts?

That was the beauty of this design, it used ALL of his natural (beautiful) curves. He was lean and ripped at the time, so I don't know how it would look if he's let himself go...

Hey Libb's ... Yeah still alive darhlin :D .. hehe maybe we should run a 'spot the cheeZe ' competition next time i go awol

" Soooo ..youve had a lil' hibiscus type inky ..wicked  ..one of my fav' flowers that is ..we grow em' from time to time to show how the gro- systems work you'll have to send me a piccy babe

Hey papa' ..yeh im hearing ya on the 'landscape' type inks ..not usually to my liking unless they kinda fit-in with the part of body their covering thats why all of mine are tribal mauri other than the dragon which is a copy of my old kickybox club's Warrior Dragon . The space around him is to be filled in with authentic Thai fighting prayers but that'll come when & if i ever get to thailand and find the patience to lay there for 10hrs and have it all 'hannd tapped' in

.. Saying all of this though , i have watched my buddy nail some mental landscapes on people that did fit the curves etc ..so i like em' just their not for me :)
