I've not been to Les Gets, but the second week of my holiday is in Morzine which is part of the Portes du Soleil area which Les Gets is too, I'll be getting an area wide lift pass so any tips you can give me when you get back would be great!

Just got back from a weeks boarding in Saalbach, Austria. What a place!! 75km or so of piste so it's never busy and more importantly no moguls!

Cut my week on the mountain a bit too soon as I hurt my shoulder in the snowpark...again! :bigoops:

I recommend anyone thinking for winter hols this year to check it out. The apre ski is nuts too. :spew:

Good times!!

No, snowboarding is dead easy in comparison.

Lifts, mountains all the same every time, easy as.

Agreed, much much easier than surfing.

I just got back from Vermont the other day. Had like 14" the last day I was there. Good times.

Today I had my first GS race. Think I got sixth on B-team. First time ever running gates was a competition run, hahaha.

You lucky lucky b4stards :(

It's in the high 30's in Queenstown right now, fooking hot, and I so wish I could get up a mountain and get cold. There's one patch of snow visible up the top of Cecil peak, about 2000 metres up, and I'm seriously thinking about walking up there just to sit on a cold patch of ground.

Not sure how I'll last till the weekend and a trip to the beach for some waves.

I can see them now. It could have been my work laptop being crap.....not sure.

Anyhoo, nice pics, what was the night life like there? Is it quite a small resort?

Yeah it's a small resort but it links with another small resort called....erm... Hinterglem, I think that's how it's spelt :?

Anyway, the apres ski is amazing, everyone dancing on the tables getting wasted because they have had a good day on the slopes. Night life is good too, alot of bars and 'clubs' playing cheesy Austrian dance pop, good times :woot:

I got so drunk on my first night my misses had to carry me home... good girl
