I had tickets for the premier in Wanaka but was out drinking all afternoon and never managed to leave the pub in time to get the bus over there.

It's a good movie - some great footage of NZ at the beginning - watched it with the wife last night, and she has decided that whatever happens, we're doing a few heli days next year :D. Jackson Hole looks awesome too - definitely somewhere else on the list of places to visit one day.

I'm stuck in Scotland this year. :(
I'm going to Aviemore for a few days but apart from that it'll be Glencoe.

Has anybody used a Bataleon board? I picked up a 2007 Evil Twin in the sales for NZ$300 - bargain. It's got a curved base at the nose and tail, supposed to make it easier to land jumps etc. Only 6 months to go until I can try it out  It's the first freestyle board I've ever had.

I was looking at one last year, but decided against it as I couldn't find any reviews and you never get the opportunity to test boards when you're going for the bargain. I'd be interested to hear how you get on when you have a go............wait 6 months!?! You're getting old Hang11, will you still be around in 6 months time!?!?!

Sh1t yeah  And there will be lots of photos to prove it

It looks like an interesting idea, but I'm not really into the whole freestyle thing, but for the price it was worth a go, and I've got some spare bindings to put on it.

Anyway, hope you have a good trip, sounds like the snow is awesome on the other side of the world.

I'm currently on a little getaway trip in Killington, VT. First day sucked at Killington, so today we drove to Stowe and it was fantastic. Tomorrow we are supposed to get between 4 and 12" of snow so should be exciting!

Hang on!!! You can't go before my trip and Kitesurfers trip! You're spoiling our count down by going before us!!

Tips? If you've never done it before then get lessons for a decent length of time. I always tell new people that you need to put the effort in and remember what your instructor tells you. That's more relevant to other people but as you surf you'll be aware that nothing comes without putting a little effort in. If you keep falling on your arse and don't know why just go back through your head all the things your instructor said and relax in those positions. At the end of the week you should be a confident boarder!

I think I gave some other tips on a previous page of this thread.
Enjoy!
