try www.pandora.com to create your own radio stations.

you put in the name of a song or an artist you like, and it'll play other songs that 'have the same musical qualities' or somehting like that. totally free, and you can give songs a thumbs-up or thumbs-down if you like em or not! you can have as many stations as you like for different types of music.

you have to register with a US postcode so if like me you're not in the US you'll have to find one (I used the Pentagon's! )

it's great....having been a radio 2 fan for years i haven't even listened for a couple of months, as i now always have pandora on at work instead!

As Libby says - Faithless, Live at Alexandra Palace is quality
Ian Brown - especially UNKLES remix of F.E.A.R

You beat me to it Newbie, Ninjatunes having some amazing sets and mixs.

That Pandora sounds quality, i love a bit of radio 2 as well Sal can't beat Steve Wright in the afternoon :D

Has anyone heard the new AIM album yet? Is it worth getting?

SWEET!!!!

Thanks for all the info! I went to bed without any replies and I wake up to music overload, it's awesome. I have started to check out some of the bands, trying to find them online so I can hear them. Haven't tried Pandora but I will when I am back from work tonight.

Thanks again, and keep more coming!!

Just for the record, I just got 5 Muse albums; I don't know what rock I was curled up under but they are incredible! Especially thanks for all the talk about them on other posts.

Five....? Whats the fifth?

There's four real albums (Showbiz, Origin of symmetry, Absolution, and Black Holes and Revelations) and a bunch of other EP's, live stuff etc. Hullaballoo? Random 1-8?

Its all great stuff. :D

Seeing them in June, woohoo!!
(Subject to emigrating later than that to Australia, self-destructing girlfriend, or Wembley falling apart before June)

Hullaballoo counts

I saw them in the cavern in exeter in front of about 200 people in about 2000. brilliant

Not sure you can be up your own arse when you're that good - thats not arrogance, thats 'accurate'

dont get me wrong, the bloke is great. one of my own idols.
i play a lot of his stuff on guitar and as i said before love seeing them live

i think my teacher (another matt) was just disapointed that matt would do a masterclass which they were all really excited about then turn up and not be interested. thats all.

They're the band that everyone talks about at the moment in an attempt to be there before the bandwagon pulls into town. Too late though, they're already here, and its too late to say 'I knew them before they went commercial'.

But being blase about 'your mate's brother's band, are they any good?' is still acceptable
