Spent the last few mornings with The Jam causing a few vibrations in the van. Hadn't played them for ages, started with In The City, currently on Setting Sons.

Just got John Frusciante - Curtains. It had loads of great reviews, and I loved his guitar work in the Chili's new album, but it totally isn't what I expected. VERY different to RHCP, plus the guy sounds identical to Cat Stevens. Can't decide if I love it, hate it, or something in between...

Sublime

Whether at work, or at home. I like to pick up the guitar and play along. They are one of the few bands that I enjoy borrowing my daughter's bass to jam along with as well.

In addition to Sublime...
Green Day, Bob Marley, The Dropkick Murphys, Matisyahu, Bowling for Soup.

Bradley Newel said it best...
"Mi Gusta mi Reggae, Mi Gusta Punk Rock"

I'm with you on coldplay sucking... Here's a fact: That coldplay song "Talk" is a copy of a Kraftwerk song "Computer liebe" but with different instruments and new lyrics.

I bet anyone listening to coldplay now thought they wrote that song on their own.

I just hope they paid kraftwerk well!

I hate it when that happens. Its like when boybands ripoff an old song and god forbid their producer actually writes new lyrics. It puts me off the tune for life.

Whats even worse is when they just use th same tune same lyrics and preform a slightly different mix arrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhh i can go to karoke for that  still they get paid millions in royalties (mostly getting buggered by their manager).

I agree completely... dull dull dull... BUT - That video for 'Take me back to the start' (or whatever its called) where everything is going backwards, Chris martin had to learn to sing the whole song phonetically in reverse

I know the editor of the video (a very very rich man...) Amazing to watch the footage. I may have to admit that Mr Marting does have some talent... backwards

Why didnt he just sing the song normally and they could of then rewound it to look like hes singing backwards, Did the twunt write backwards words on his hand aswell

i too can't stand coldplay - i appreciate that it is 'good' music in the popular sense, i just find it too whiney and depressing - Music to Slit Your Wrists To! Leaves me feeling hungover and rough!

At the mo I'm listening to Magic Numbers, tho my musical tastes range from AC/DC to U2, with quite a lot in between!

'Cos he sung the song in reverse, then they played it backwards so it looks like he's singing forwards while 'stuff' happends backwards - sadly this means he survives the car crash in the video
