For beginners, stepping into the wider world of skateboarding is a daunting prospect. From choosing the right deck for your style to selecting trucks and wheels, and from learning kickflips to rock drops, there is a lot to learn. :)
You can start with double drop longboard these offers stability and control. I began my skating journey with a longboard, and many others have progressed faster thanks to its ease of use. Longboards are easier for beginners to ride than typical skateboards.

A skateboarder’s journey does not end on knowing how to turn or drop in on a skateboard. Knowing how to pump on a skateboard is a milestone for all skateboarders. Whether for commuting, racing, or tricks, pumping on a skateboard is an essential aspect of skateboarding.

I bought a surfskate during peak lockdown when we couldnt travel more than 5 miles. saved my sanity! It has been brilliant, helps you think about muscle and leg movement, but more to the point it is brilliant fun in a bowl. I am over 50, been surfing since I was 19 but never ever been on a skateboard. Its fun and a great workout and if you surf you can pick it up really quickly. I bought a really cheap model (D Street) which was under £90 - although I see they have put their prices up. I would recommend getting any to use when its flat. Dave

I've been working on infinity loops lately and my legs burn! Tomorrow I'll find out of they are worth the effort. Can you recommend other surfskate exercises?

I would love to ride this Brazilian park but there's nothing like it in my area. You?
