Didn't see anything about a musket....nor an automatic AR15 on the other hand.

The reference to the musket is that that would be what your average Joe could pack when the Amendment was drawn up.

Is this all still on your news over there?

Bit too much cold water though

Does the US and Canada really bicker that much? I've never really bickered with too many Canadians

This is one of those things that makes me laugh. The southermost point of Canada, is level with California. The lakes are cold yes, but thats what you get with the largest lakes in the world.

Wistler, I could do without. Sure its all famous and crap, but having grown up in BC, there are tons of WAY better places then Wistler-Blackhome.

The fresh water, there is acutaly alot of talk about possible disputs over the territory Canada claims as ours, yet so does the Netherlands, and the US has been kinda quiet, but they are making some waves in that too.

Alot of US people dont beleive me when I say we have been invaded by the US before. First time was an allout war, the War of 1812. The second time was technically a bunch of nutters that decided they wanted Canada, that was called the Fenien Raids. Both times we sent you yanks packin. Ever wonder why there is reference to a "green House"? well now the white house is in its place. When we couter invaded, and made it to washington.....we decided to make a point of letting you remember we were there. It was promtly burned to the ground.

Anywho, back to out topic. There is still some talk on the news about it, though I watch Canadian news, so the only thing you really see now is about memorial services held.

Okay, back on topic. I think it probably may still be on the news but I really don't watch television news. I get my news from net sources and it is still on them for sure.

From Wikipedia:

"The building was originally referred to variously as the "President's Palace," "Presidential Mansion," or "President's House." Dolley Madison called it the "President's Castle." There is a common misconception that the term "The White House" wasn't used until after the War of 1812, when the mansion was burned and re-painted. However, the earliest evidence of the public calling it the "White House" was recorded in 1811, three years before the House was set on fire. The name "Executive Mansion" was used in official contexts until President Theodore Roosevelt established the formal name by having the de facto name "White House–Washington" engraved on the stationery in 1901. President Franklin Roosevelt changed his letterhead to "The White House" with the word "Washington" centered beneath. That convention remains today."

Crazy Canucks love making up stories to look cooler than us. HAHA IMPOSSIBLE I TELL YOU, IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Also lets not forget it wasn't really the CANADIANS doing the work, more like the British army was flooding in to fight this war against us.

History is fun!

Well it was alot of Canadians really. Well technically British servants, being as how we were still a colony. It was ALOT of reserves, because the war with France was still on. It wasnt until about 1814 that most of the British army and Navy came to help.

LOL, ya. Curling is just one of those sports for us. Like a team that might win a provincial championship, would abosultley kill on the world stage. Its like football in europe. Everyone plays it, over here not so much.

Lacross is INTENSE...and curling is deceptivley hard. Alot to do with physics of how ice works at different temperatures, different rocks react different, lots of balance work.
