Idiot Rob, please could you give the forum an update on the first week's progress on the campaign. Now we're on Day 8, it would be nice for everyone to know how we're doing.

I have a bit of a dilemma at the moment.

In his quest for the 'latest text' shirt - Spike texted me at 4.45am on Sunday. Does this count as a standard text the following morning or is it technically Saturday night still?

247 texts in the first week of campaigning!!!!!! Phenomenal effort, everyone. If someone could answer the original question on this thread (ie How long is it until 'combe), we could work out roughly how many this will be throughout the campaign.

I've done a quick calculation, and based on there being 19 weeks 'til 'combe, I make it 4693 to go!!!!! Wooohhoooo!!! This obliterates last year's record.

So I ask again. How long is it until 'combe? Anyone know?

Essex, you are spot on. 'combe is short for Woolacombe, and we have an annual pilgrimage there once a year - the Easter bank holiday weekend. January and February would be very dull if we couldn't annoy Rob, so this campaign (although it starts on 12 November at 9:32pm each year), keeps us amused.

Fishkid, a quality idea. No doubt we'll pop up there soon to help spread the word of Rob's twuntishness, and generally remind people how long it is until combe, which incidentally is not long. That's we say.......

Pat42, your 'nightmare' isn't too far off. However, none of us are in our 40s (not for a while yet), and most of them won't be sat on the beach (I personally always go in the water). They'll all be in the Jube dancing, or eating some of Wayne's lovely pizza, maybe wearing some plastic masks bought from Woolacombe Sands shop. There are a few porkers amongst us though, and as well as being a twuntish idiot, Rob also has hairy arms....around his shoulders particularly.

Anyway, nice of you to dream about us, but I do find it slightly odd.
