The scholarship i applied for....

Postby libby » Thu Oct 11, 2007 7:23 am

Just got an offer of a Doctoral Fees Bursary at the University of Auckland!!! Its worth NZ$25,000 a year for three years (for tuition fees) plus my health insurance. Unfortunatley the fees bursary doesnt come with a living stipend so i would have no way of affording living costs so i'm gonna have to turn it down. Still its a huuuuge compliment! :)))))

Try and get another grant/bursary to cover living costs!
You're halfway there! There's all kinds of other funding (isn't there? )

Ha ha ha nope, just having fun and realising the life style i had in New Zealand is possible here too with a bit of effort!

Part of the terms of the bursary is that i wouldnt be allowed to work more than 20hrs per week, and i dont want to have to struggle for another 3 years, i could manage if it was just a masters but not 3 whole years of worrying about money!

do whatever you decide to do Libbs and you dont have to justify it to anyone, but pretty mush everyone worries about money so dont let that hold you back if that's the only deciding factor. Doesnt sound like it is though, just sound like you're happy here.
