Buses and Surfboards

Postby Hazy_daze » Fri Sep 10, 2004 9:26 pm

Is anybody here allowed to take their surfboards with them on public buses?? Im really annoyed cause since only last summer, the company has decided to ban all surfboards from the buses. Not amused! Bodyboarders are allowed, but not surfers. Surely if its the size of them they should restrict the height of the surfboard or only let us on with them at certain times of the day!? ANYTHINGS gotta be better than hitching rides 24/7!!
Just wondered if anyone else has been deprived of taking their pride and joy on the bus?

i now. i had the excact same prollem this summer, see if you can leave it with someone at the beach. if you go to saunton, go talk to jools from the beach hire place and he should hold it for you. hes a star and looked after my board all su mmer. i dont know about croyde or woollacoombe but there could be somewher thatll look afer it so long as your willing to pay (poss beer).
however i did see someone on a first bus with a surfboard. only once, and it was a shortboard. but they were on the bus all the same.

Yeh defo, it always seems to be surfers that let you out on a junction, or give you their parking ticket after their a dawn-session when you arrive!
Aww surfers are lovelies!
