For anyone who watched "Return to Oz" as a kid...

I have never really discussed this with anyone before, but just found out I'm not the only one who was positively terrified of the wheelers in that film. I was 6 when I went to see it at the cinema and I've been traumatised by it ever since

Out of interest, if any of you watched it when you were young, did the wheelers scare you too?

You want traumatised, I watched Alien & Aliens when I was about 7. I had nightmares for years! Mainly centred around the noise the motion trackers made and knowing they were coming for me.

The funny thing is, years after the nightmares had gone, I bought the game 'aliens vs predator' for the Pc, I'm playing it and the motion tracking has started beeping, I just *froze* in terror as the force of millions of childhood nightmares rolled over me! :D

I was never traumatised by return to oz. I think i only saw it whilst at university, but i fully sympathise with the alien/aliens thing. I must only have been about 6 or 7. I can't remember which xxxxx decided to show those films to me, but i hope something equally bad has happened to them since!! I also remember finding Gremlins rather scary. Again, i was very young!

Tales of the Unexpected!! Now that did scare me!

I think parents all over the UK were mistaken in the belief that as it was written by Roald Dahl it would be suitable for small children. Unfortunately my parents didn't learn their lesson and I ended watching loads of them!

Anyone remember the killer bulldozers?

To steal Sar's expression, Phew! Wasn't just me then! Gremlins gave me a few bad dreams. I'm guessing we're about the same age?
