any tips for abating anger in the water?

this weekend was a great sesh good waves mostly cool peeps.

unfortunatly I was approached by a loacl that was also a kook.
so insted of kickin his punk a$$ I just laphed his comments off.
but I know I'm gonna see dude again or at least a good chance of it.

I dont really want to get cuffed and taken in cuse I'm the kinda guy who keeps it real cool till I loose it then unfortunatly I cant stop I'ts just the way I was trained as a fighter but this is not the no holds barred arenea
where a ref can save an opponent.

I also dont wanna ask for favors from my frends lawers,cops ect. after the fact or even before if I have too.I'm trying to lead a peacfull exsistance as I get older without so much drama but It seems people always want to take a shot at the title so to speek.yeh I got anger issues who dosent but I'm a trained indivigual who's got years of experience.

how do you all deal with your anger issues in the water when they esclate?
what things do you use to difuse situations when being nice dosent work?

Just give him a quick word like, "looks who tlaking" or "piss off" if he doesnt leave, you leave. take a wave in and go a few feet from where you were. once your on the wave youll forget anger.

did try that unfotunately dude was way aggro so I just hope things dont esclate any further

Nothing you can do, and if the little kook is so annoying that he does escalte the situation that much while doing something so soulful as surfing, he deserves what he gets, and probably another surfer will stop you eventually.

so just use your years of experience to take a deep breath, smile, remember why you love to surf and make friends with the guy.

takes a much bigger guy to do that than it would to kick off........

breath training don't know if ive herd of that one.sorry diffrent level of kook.And trust I always try to be real nice .I know what I am and I also know my tollerance for control.I also wrote heated and realize that there's probably not much too be said. but at least for the record I did try .if dude get's it that's his karma. in this life don't f!ck with a G sorry god that's the way it gotta be.

let your surfing talk for you. if you can hold your own out there, then spray his a$$ and keep surfing. they'll shut up when you burn em.
