I do feel kind of guilty, he's right, it can be very serious.

But I still couldn't help smiling and nodding at fishkid's contribution!

atleast when your cold you can put on a jacket and gloves. i was perfectly hydrated and just randomly collapsed. well, i was in the sun running around with kids. we were playing freeze tag. thats what my job requires.

Dont forget your salt levels, when you sweat a lot you have to replace both water and salts. I became a bit ill in the extreme heat once even though very well hydrated but once I took some diorolyte i was fine again, I didnt have any stomache illnesses - i had just sweated a lot and lost a lot of salt which I hadnt replaced.

You could spend money on diorolyte (sp?) which should give you the exact concentration of salts/water or just add a little salt to some fruit juice/squash.

when i was in CO and it was down to the single digits (f) i liked it. besides the horrible pain in my fingertips. (raynards (sp?) syndrome) i actually enjoyed the sun for once. it felt nice. opposite of what it feels like here.
