So, what's anyone doing for new years?

Postby Stone Fox » Sat Dec 30, 2006 4:07 pm

I wanted to go raving, but slammin' vinyl is at the NEC this NYE, and I can't be arsed to go that far so I'm probably going to the street party round the London Eye, went a couple of years ago and had a banging time.

What's anyone else up to? Anything wierd or exciting? (Anyone going near Cheezy doesn't need to answer that last part... :D )

Me neither.

Might be slightly tinged by the fact that New Year's Day 2 years ago was when I left Sean to go travelling by myself for 5 months, so had possibly the worst NYE ever.

We're having a crispy duck, loadsa prawn crackers, a big box of Christmas choccie, and a few bottles of fizzy Banrock Station, most likely curled up in front of Jools Holland.

Will probably fall asleep on the sofa, and stagger to ebd in the middle of the night!

Oh, and get up early NYD to brave the gales at Scarborough!!

Probably nothing....not that many friends still up here, some but not all. Combined with the fact that i just cant get new year right, i'm either sober as a judge and bored out of my mind or waaaaaaay to drunk to enjoy myself. So think this year it will either be a quiet night in with a few girl friends and a couple of bottles of wine or a night in with the parents, may even just go to bed.

Whichever i expect at least one drunken phone call from a member of the surfing-waves crew!! :D

Big party at a friend's house tomorrow night - so me and Mrs DBBB will take the camper and park it around the corner somewhere so we can have a drink but then leave when it starts to get silly (it will) and have a kip in the van before re-emerging for breakfast :D

Im not a huge fan of NYE either, so staying in with friends seems the best option  :blah:

Okay, I admit Im not up with this strange youth-speak of today, but you seem to be saying that you are 'going round to the grandmother of one of my friends' :?

Seems a little strange....

Anythings better than the members club we have in the village. ( no pub or shop,) Bloody inbreds.

it's 1930 hrs on the big night. I'm sat here with a can of stella in hand waiting for the night to kick off! I hear they're expection 500,000 people at the street party round the London eye. I'm armed and ready - Bottle of Smirnoff black label in the inside pocket - 10 X5's in my watch pocket.

Lookout London.

It's party time!
