Coloured Rash Vest

Postby sinistapenguin » Fri Sep 30, 2005 3:02 pm

Hello All

My wife complains that I paddle out and she can never see me in the water. She likes to watch and take photos but she can never tell me apart from the others out there.

I was thinking of getting a coloured rash vest to wear over my wetsuit so that she can see me out there!

What do people think? What colour should I get.

And before anyone suggests it - PINK is definitely out!!

Are you suggesting this is a bad idea???

Normally when people suggest talking to Roy, they're taking the proverbial!!

My girlfriend ties her hair up in bright hair bands... otherwise I cant find her in the water, and I'm supposed to be the 'experienced' one keeping an eye on her 8)

Maybe you could try that?

Just do loads of airs all the time :P !
Sorry not v helpful, but I don't recommend wearing a rashie over your wetty as whenever I've had to do this for contests I hate it cos I slip around more when paddling and stuff :x . I dunno you'd probs get used to it after a while I reckon but... :? .

How about if I get one of those 'Sumo' suits and wear that over the top - then I'd stand out!!

I mean one of these:

Great idea sinista, although i suggest you cover up those sumo man boobs - very distracting for the blokes in the line up.

Another benefit - when a wave holds you down and then lets you go you will *POP* straight out of the water like when you hold a football underwater and then let it go - class entertainment for everyone else and it will let your wife know exactly where you are after you wipe out  8)

Aaaah the mental images.....

Yeah that would be an almost fun way to go over the falls at Chopes :D . On one of the Gotcho Pro Chopes videos at the end over the credits you see a couple of guys paddling about near the take off point on a big double air bed - and they do eventually get pitched over the lip  - pure class!
