Pacific Sleeper Shark in Solomon Islands caldera

This is pretty cool and the moving images in the the 2 minute video are high quality. Scientists discovered a pretty good sized Pacific Sleeper Shark swimming around inside a remnant volcano cone (e.g., caldera). Not much is known about Pacific Sleeper Sharks, which makes the video at the link even more interesting. The Solomon Islands are due east of Papau New Guinea and northeast of Australia. I'm sure Uncle Jaffa has surfed the Solomons. He goes everywhere!

Sorry no Solomon's trip yet!
New Guinea, Vanuatu, Tonga, Fiji, Lord Howe, New Zealand, Tasmania, Taiwan and Hawaii done those!
Maldives, Sri lanka, India, Solomons, New Caledonia, New Ireland, New Britain, Palau, Guam, Japan still on the list to do.

California and mainland USA or any of the Americas, Europe or Africa unsurfed as yet for me.
What is going to run out first, my wallet or my body :?:
I've taken up troll hunting just for fun, instead of a rifle I'll just use a pun! 冲浪爷爷

There are often serendipitous discoveries when doing a scientific study. I am reading a book titled Archipelago about the formation of the Hawaiian Islands and Ricky Grigg (surfer and oceanographer who died recently) also made numerous other discoveries not relate doing his research in a submersible craft.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.
