The life of a surfer

Postby mreis » Wed Jul 01, 2015 11:23 am

Hi everyone. I would like to get your feedback about a shirt I did, as a surfer, to help my family and somehow, resume the wonderful life of a surfer.

I would like to know your thoughts about it. I´m starting this small business to keep things above the water :)

I would really love to get your feedback and support, if you like it.

What do you think? Advertising link removed

Thanks for your feedback in advance. Peace.

Reason: really it is just advertising product.

Really what you are doing is advertising the start up of your business.
That is OK but really this forum is not about free advertising I would suggest you write to the Administrators and see how advertising your product ( you are advertising and pretending to ask for feed back) can be done.

If that´s how you feel about this, then I would like to request someone to kindly delete this thread and I´ll never post in this forum again.

This is a general chat I believe, so I don´t see any problem with it, but once you´re so offended by this...delete it.

Bye.

It's called courtesy to the forum owner who has to pay out of his own pocket to run this forum.
If you take the time to read the forum rules its quite specific in that you are requested to get the forum owners permission before posting self advertising links. Which forum you place it in is irrelevant.

Wow, that's a cool idea for a t-shirt. Too bad, I didn't make a t-shirt to go along with the sticker I made over 6 YEARS AGO that said "Surf Eat Sleep ....Repeat". I got the idea after seeing Olympian Michael Phelps wearing a shirt saying Swim Eat Sleep Repeat. Maybe I can charge you some royalties.

Your wording arrangement doesn't rhyme as well anyways.

Wouldn't you say the "typical" life of of surfer begins with a wake up before dawn, drive to the beach, paddle out as the sun rises, catch a few before the crowd comes out, drive back home, feed your empty stomach, crash on the couch watching surf videos. Wake up and realize it's starts again. ( well maybe on the weekend )

You can delete yourself.

He could make another one called-

'The life of a surfer' and then have a picture of a block of wax, a bloodshot eye and a suffer being dropped in on.

Everyone makes mistakes in life and, it's how you react to those situations that matters. No one said you it was "Wrong" to advertise your product. They even said it was Okay, just you need to go through the proper channels. But the way you reacted, getting defensive and just wanted to forget about it, calls in to question your true intentions. You want to promote the Surfer's Lifestyle and the culture of our sport, yet you not acting like one. How different would it be if you said " oh, sorry, didn't know that. Thanks for letting me know ". Since you are a surfer, why don't you contribute to the forum and share you experiences in your life as a surfer ? That was your original goal right ?

The worse feeling I get surfing is trying to help someone when they sit in the pit or paddles in front as I come down the line. Sometimes a bit of advice like " don't sit there because that's where the wave will break or don't paddle thru the break, paddling around is safer " is met with " don't tell me how to surf, no one owns the ocean, well, back home we ....... blah blah blah. Say sorry, learn from the locals, make friends and enjoy surfing. They're trying to help you.

Why you want to leave this community? I don't think so, for a person who post an unwanted stuff you should leave the forum. It's not a reason buddy,, :yearght:
